A discussion meeting was held in the seminar room of Bonoful NGO in Khulna on March 26, 2021 to mark Independence Day chaired by Ms. Zakia Akther, Executive Director of Bonoful. Representatives of development organizations discussed in detail the benefits and the attainment of independence.
In the discussion meeting, the Executive Director of RUSTIC, the valiant Freedom fighter Moral Noor Mohammad explained in his speech – why he participated in the liberation war. He said that he participated in the war of liberation with the aim of establishing Bangladesh as a Bengali nation-state free from oppression, tyranny, and restriction of speaking in one’s mother tongue and to establish a society free from exploitation, corruption, and protection of women’s rights. Besides, he highlighted some of the battles fought on the battlefield during the liberation war in 1971.
In her speech, Ms. Zakia Akhter, Executive Director of Bonoful, said that the Bangladesh NGO Foundation is working to implement the goal of independence. She thanked all for their participation in the meeting.

RUSTIC solemnly pays profound homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the National Mourning Day, 15 August 2021
15th August’21 the 46th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning day was observed by RUSTIC with due respect and solemnity. On the occasion, a mourning rally, organized by the member organizations of Bangladesh NGO Foundation, was started from Bangladesh Betar Khulna premises. At the end of the rally, a floral wreath was placed at the monument of Bangabandhu at Khulna Betar premises around 10.00 am maintaining social distance. The member organizations of Bangladesh NGO Foundation including the executives and the staff of their respective organizations participated in the National Mourning Day program.
Mr. Moral Noor Mohammad, the valiant Freedom fighter and Executive Director of RUSTIC declared a minute of silence and told the audience that on August 15, 1975, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and his family were brutally murdered. It has hampered the progress of Bangladesh after the just ended liberation war. He condemned this brutal killing.
